The Information Systems Department at FactSet designs and develops integrated productivity tools and reporting systems that serve the operational and strategic needs of our rapidly growing business.
We are seeking a talented person to fill the role of Programmer Analyst Software Developer. An ideal candidate for this position has a good mix of technical, analytical, and business skills.
The key areas of responsibility include:
• Ability to analyze business problems in order to develop software solutions
• Excellent customer service skills, especially in addressing relevant technical and business problems
• Desire to learn about all aspects of the business
Required:
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering
• Strong knowledge of relational database design and development (SQL Server, T-SQL, MySQL, Oracle) with 3+ years experience.
• Experience with Data Warehouse development and tools (ETL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)
Highly Desired:
• Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts
• 2+ years experience in Data Warehouse development with Microsoft specific platforms
• Client usage data collection, mining and analysis
Other Desired Skills:
• .Net development experience
• Decision Support Systems/Business Intelligence reporting applications
• Understanding of general business transaction processes
